HOW TO CHOOSE JEWELLERY THAT MAKES YOUR EYES POP
“Eyes are the windows to the soul.”
You will notice if they are kind eyes, eyes full of sparkle and mainly - what colour they are. In fact, the first thing we notice when we look at someone, are their eyes. So, let’s talk about eye colours.
Brown, blue, green, grey, hazel or mixed? What colour are your eyes? According to World Atlas, the majority of the world's population has brown eyes (55-79%), with blue coming in second with about 8-10%, while only 2% of the world has green eyes.
Ever wondered, how to match jewellery with eye color? What color earrings go for blue eyes? Or what are the best color earrings for green eyes? Just recently we carried out several surveys among our Facebook and Instagram fans, asking several eye-color and jewellery related questions.
First of all, we wanted to know what color are the eyes of our dearest fans. And here is what we found out:
25% - Green
21% - Brown
19% - Gray-ish-green-ish
13% - Blue
The rest had different shades and even mixed colors. Quite fun to get to know our dear ladies! And amazing to learn that so many of our fans have green eyes as opposed to the world statistics!
We also wanted to know how our women feel about matching jewellery with eye color. It turns out that a whopping 77% of them believe eye color should one way or another match the jewellery. If they really do need to match is, of course, a matter of taste, so there is no right or wrong.
However, did you know that you can use the colour of your jewellery to make your eye colour pop? Eyes are the most passionate part of your face, so let’s use the power of the colours to complement those beauties. The right jewellery can help them stand out even more! Now let’s dig a bit deeper into this question and provide some useful insight.
Brown eyes
Eyes so deep to sink in. Green, pink, red and purple coloured jewellery will highlight the depth of the brown colour. Adding a piece of cool coloured jewellery like aquamarine or turquoise next to your brown eyes, you will find your brown-eyed look instantly more appealing.
Yellow brings out the warmth of the brown colour. Some of you have asked for yellow coloured earrings, should we bring them to our collection?
The color tones of metals with brown eyes are also perfect, rose gold and especially yellow gold. Tanned skin, beautiful brown eyes and sparkling statement pieces. Metals are definitely a safe way to accessorize and they never go out of style.
Green eyes
The rarest eye colour in the world yet so many of our dazzling ladies have it. You are special! Among the participants of the quiz, the most popular jewellery colours were pink and green. Of course, what goes better with green than green! Safe choice, but don’t be afraid to experiment. Have fun with colours.
To really make green eyes pop, you should look into shades of purple.
A hint, yellow gold jewellery looks perfect when worn with green eyes. We just love it!
Blue eyes
In order to emphasize their eye colour, blue jewellery is a favourite of many blue-eyed women. Turquoise is especially wonderful, bringing sparkle to their eyes.
But blue eyes have a lot of shades, and it's worth trying other colors as well.
We definitely recommend white, which adds a deep glow to your look.
If you’re looking for something that pops your eye colour then choose pink and orange. They are complementary colours. Wearing these colors will get you a lot of compliments, guaranteed!
Gray eyes
Gray is one of the most frequent eye colors of our lovely ladies. This is good news if you fall into this cycle. Luckily, there’s a variety of beautiful coloured jewellery that people with grey eyes can wear.
There is a shade of red for every woman. Red brings out the sparkle in grey eyes. It is a show-stopping colour and you will stand out the crowd. Do you dare to wear it?
Keep in mind that different colours bring out your eyes better depending on the time of day. For a perfect night out try wearing black or charcoal coloured jewellery.
Make it sparkle and pop it!
Wear colour one day and switch it up to another colour the next.
Dare to be yourself!
